All students should upload their resume to their HireUTexas profile and students with work-study awards should have a PDF file format of their Work-Study Verification available to upload. The fair is open to both full-time students and part-time students (enrolled in at least 6 hours). Work-Study and Part-time Job Fairįind part-time employment opportunities and connect with prospective employers, including on-campus and approved off-campus employers searching for talented students to work part-time this fall and spring. Work-Study job listings can be found on HireUTexas powered by Handshake, the university’s new job board for students who are seeking a part-time job, as well as internships and full-time career opportunities. Employment opportunities are available on and off campus, but keep in mind that the job must be classified as Work-Study. Once you have been awarded Work-Study as part of your financial aid package, it is up to you to find an approved job. Work-Study awards are based on available funds. If you would like to be considered for Work-Study, mark “yes” to the question on the FAFSA that asks whether you are interested in student employment. Work-Study is available to full-time and part-time students. The program encourages community service work and work related to students’ course of study. They are more important than to have a good personal portfolio website.

I fully committed to this, spent all my free time and weekends and holidays firkin' learning and building projects. I started full-time studying in October last year. You basically don’t need portfolio website. Small projects, clone projects, just follow someone coding something on youtube, anything, just keep building projects.Īnd step up your linkedin game. I’m so thrilled and relieved to be honest. I got it guys! I got a job as a junior front-end developer in a very cool company where they are looking for people like me, to help them grow and become great engineers.
